Piodalan Celebration at b Hotel Bali & Spa
b Hotel Bali & Spa held its annual Piodalan ceremony on Thursday, August 27, 2026, as a meaningful expression of Hindu faith and Balinese cultural tradition. The ceremony was attended by all Hindu staff members of b Hotel Bali & Spa, who came together with devotion and enthusiasm to participate in every stage of the event. This Piodalan was not only a religious celebration but also an opportunity to strengthen togetherness, teamwork, and appreciation for Balinese culture among the hotel staff.
The preparations began with Ngayah, a traditional Balinese practice of voluntary service carried out with sincerity and dedication. During this stage, the staff worked together to prepare the necessary equipment, offerings, decorations, and other ceremonial attributes for the Piodalan. The preparation process reflected the spirit of cooperation and mutual assistance, with each staff member contributing their time and energy to ensure that everything was ready for the ceremony. The preparations were followed by Nunas Tirta, a sacred activity of respectfully receiving holy water from several temples (Pura).
To create greater enthusiasm and strengthen the spirit of togetherness among the departments, the Piodalan committee also organized a Gebogan competition. Each department had the opportunity to demonstrate its creativity and teamwork by preparing beautifully arranged Gebogan, traditional Balinese offerings made from fruits and other agricultural products. Beyond being a competition, this activity encouraged collaboration, creativity, and a sense of unity among the staff while preserving an important element of Balinese cultural tradition.
The highlight of the Piodalan took place on August 27, 2026, featuring a series of cultural and religious performances. One of the highlights was the Rejang Giri Putri dance, gracefully performed by the staff of b Hotel Bali & Spa. The ceremony was also enriched by a traditional mask performance (Seni Topeng), which presented stories and elements of Balinese culture connected to the spiritual and cultural values of the Piodalan. These performances added a deeper cultural atmosphere to the celebration while allowing the staff to actively participate in preserving and appreciating local traditions.
